He was a sweet baby angel that I just wanted to snatch of the page and protect him and make him feel connected when he so clearly needed a pack/family. The side characters were exciting, especially Merrit. I enjoyed seeing how Jonah and Edwin made their relationship work when one was a land shifter and the other a sea shifter. The abilities of Edwin as a narwhal to please his mate during his heat was unexpected and surprisingly, I enjoyed it. An unexpected heat bring the two together, finally after years of never seeing each other in person while Jonah cleaned Edwin's house. It can be tricky to write a good instalove story, in my opinion, but Vinni George did a great job with these two. Jonah, the lynx omega that doesn't understand why he is so drawn to the hunky older doctor he cleaned houses for, and Edwin, the narwhal shifter who had a feeling Jonah was his fated mate but thought their age difference was too much, were a refreshing and heartwarming pair. I read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/mpreg stories and it is very hit or miss on not only the quality of writing, but how much I will enjoy the story. Vinni George is a new to me author and I am very happy that I picked this book up.
